Constructivism

Constructivism is a learning paradigm which centers on the individual. According to constructivism knowledge does not exist independent of the individual. The experiences and skills background of the learners have an influence on the cognitive processes.
Knowledge cannot be imparted through instruction; it has to be integrated into the existing mental models and constructs of reality.

Cooperative learning

Instructional activity where students at various performance levels work in team on problems and projects toward a common goal. This kind of the learning allows creating critical social thinking: how to communicate, how work together, acquire leadership and management skills. The five criteria: 1) positive independence, 2) individual accountability, 3) face-to-face interaction, 4) development interpersonal skills, 5) group processing characterizes the activity.
